There's no post during the weekend, and till today, I am still confused! What was discussed? It looks like a call in contest today, not discussion. Did something happen to the normal talk about the latest happenings?
This could have well turn into my blog. Lessons learnt today:-
1. Keeping quiet when angry does not mean you are a loser. Its a way you control yourself and do good to the situation as a whole. Who knows, further unnecessary problems could be prevented. You cannot be 99% 'sane' when you are angry. So shut up!
2. It takes time to built trust and confidence, but it takes just a split second to destroy it.
3. 'Suicide' may not be a solution at all, it may just add more headache for others ....well unless we have the 'who cares' mentality in us!
4. An email could ruin a person's day.

Traffic / on the road / driving ethics / highway speed limit ..all in one.
Today’s topic is something on traffic / on the road / driving ethics / highway speed limit …. Hm.. the Malaysian driving style! Some little saddening fact is that there are people who always think they are right!! Its very true that when you are on a big 4 to 6 lanes highway, driving a ‘big-sized’ car, you actually do not feel that you are already at 150 km/h !! And it is also true that at this speed, if touch wood, some unexpected things were to happen, that’s it! :(( …..well, unless you are some extremely good advanced driver who can think and act fast to avoid accidents… or minimize impact I would say. So, my point is always be alert while you are driving, concentrate, look at both side mirror and rear mirror every few seconds, both hands on steering (if you are only using one, the 2-second you take to put another hand on the steering could be too late to save your life), and be more anticipative (predict and anticipate what other driver will do).
I think our highways should allow speed of probably up to 140km/h, and seriously look into some signboards or alerts when there will be change of speed limit!!! Like one whole stretch of road, there are one part which is 110km/h, and some suddenly 90! à and we all know, there’s where usually summons are issued….
Speeds and highway aside, it saddens me to see people who don’t know the on-the-road ‘Undang-undang’ well. Some things like stopping at junction, the car turning in the roundabout has the right of way, what double lines means, driving at the right speed limit doesn’t mean you can stay at the right lane, etc..etc..
And the last most annoying thing is seeing people throwing rubbish out of the window!! I just hate it. To people who do this, please STOP! Don’t you remember the old school days where teachers says ‘Jangan membuang sampah merata-rata” ? In case you don’t, for your information, your action (or habit?) will actually endangered other cars, people or motorcycle that is moving by your side or at the back. Imagine your flying ‘teh ais’ hit a motorcycle rider, which makes him loose control?

Today's Topic: Bonus!!
The DJ today encourage people to call in to tell about how much they get this year, and there are people who gets none and some who get up to 6 months.
My comments: Well, my previous company has even given 12 months before to top performers, but unfortunately, the current one doesn’t have that track record. I agree that it sometimes depends on industry, some has the ‘habit’ of giving more, while some thinks that its not necessary at all. From my experience, local company seems to be more generous (well some may not agree!!), and foreign ones especially with the immediate kwai lo as boss, they don’t seems to understand what bonus is. Bigger companies has better way of managing the paid out for bonus (if I am right!), where they actually set aside the paid-out sum on a monthly basis (bit by bit) in their accounts for all employees, (but that does not mean all employees will get them!) and the poll of money set aside will be allocated to each department for their head to recommend the amount set to each employee under his/her care based on performance evaluation.
At the end of the day, as the word goes, “performance bonus” is always based on your performance and contribution to the company. Of course there are some who thinks they are superb, but the boss may think otherwise. I am in those shoes before.. and I think many of you is in the same boat as me too! That’s life.........

988 topics
Hi! I am an avid listener of 988 in the morning during my drive to work (988 ‘kung kai fan woon’). But because my drive is short (thank God!! ;)) I normally listened to the earlier part about the topics they are discussing for that day, and probably 2 or 3 phone calls.
Well, if the topic is really interesting, I’ll then continue listening in the office!! *shhh…*
Recently, I just noticed that the ads are getting more and more! Anyway, good job 988, the topics are by far interesting, and in someway, whether the comments are from the DJ or from the call-in person, it seems to strike the inside of me…. There are people who think alike!!
So I have decided to start my own blog….to focus on (at this moment at least!) on the daily topics discussed..;)
